Learning Latin in a small group
In small groups, students learn to negotiate meaning and build on their peers' ideas in a friendly environment.
This prepares them for future academic success, from Oxbridge interviews to later university life and, in particular, tutorials (supervision).
All courses include direct access to my inbox via the comment section, so you get all the answers and guidance you need.
Private tutoring
For a personalised journey, weekly private sessions and full marking and reporting, I recommend one-to-one tuition.
When working privately, I deliver the full curriculum tailored to the student's abilities, needs, and goals.
Parents and students stay in touch with me between lessons, and I liaise with schools and examination centres where needed, including when homeschooling arrangements are in place.

Pricing and programmes
Prices start at £70 per month for groups and £100 per week for ongoing private tuition. One-to-one students use Tutorbird for lesson management, and group students have all their resources in a teachable school, to which access is given at the point of registration.
Please note that I currently have very limited availability; I recommend getting in touch early to ensure we can plan your tuition journey. If your child is preparing for GCSE in 2026, you may want to consider joining my GCSE Latin Course which includes weekly term-time lessons and a structured course to help your child use their time efficiently and get the best possible grade.

How does Latin tutoring online work?
During our initial meeting and assessment, I will help you decide whether one-to-one or group lessons are the best option for your child's learning journey. They will then either join a programme or I will create an individual Latin language and exam preparation learning plan.

What Latin learning resources do you use?
I am familiar with all commonly used textbooks and also create my own resources to suit individual students' needs.

Online tools: Access to Suburani online, Legentibus and my self-paced courses are part of the package I offer to ongoing tuttees.
Self-paced courses: students who would benefit from joining them will receive guided access.
I am not sure about online learning for Latin. How is it better than face-to-face?
I have taught hundreds of students and teachers online, and I use state-of-the-art technology to ensure meetings are safe, comfortable and interactive.
Meeting from the comfort of their own space, students experience lower levels of anxiety, which is conducive to a deeper learning experience as well as being ideal for communicative approaches.

Can you help with specific Latin language and literature exams?
I teach the full Latin range, from 13+ to university entrance. This includes the following: Common Entrance Level 1, 2, 3 and scholarship (CASE), GCSE (OCR and EDUQAS, and WJEC 1 and 2), A Level, Latin I, II, III and IV, AP Latin, CLAT and Oxbridge application preparation. For students preparing for the MLAT and CAT, I also offer a support package.

How do you ensure student confidentiality?
Privacy and student safety are central to my approach to safeguarding. I do not share personal information about students under any circumstances, except when necessary to ensure their safety (e.g. concerns related to harm, abuse, or an immediate risk, where disclosure to relevant authorities is required). Comments in my self-paced courses are moderated, and students in group lessons are not permitted to share personal information, such as school or address.
