1

Tackling unseens by extended reading

Latin is not Sudoku: stop being puzzled by Latin and start reading ancient literature like it was meant to be.

We will get the snowball rolling on vocabulary learning so that you can work with calm and great results in timed conditions.

2

Prose composition and active use for true grammatical understanding

Use it or lose it: move beyond quizzes and rote memorising to discover how using the language actively can speed up your learning and make the grammar click.

3

Set text analysis: from exam question to deep interpretation

I will help you understand examiner expectations and develop a deep and nuanced perception of Roman authors.

We will move beyond lists of rhetorical devices into the rich world of literary Latin.

How the Latin A-Level Mastery Hub works:

1. Weekly small group live session focused on language mastery to ensure active use of the language and effective recall of vocabulary.

2. Access to bespoke resources and model answers.

3. UCAS/Oxbridge hub to stay accountable to their personal development beyond the curriculum.

4. Bitesize vocabulary programme to get the snowball rolling on the reading mastery needed to do well in timed translation exams.

5. Support with all areas of the exam: language, prose comprehension and composition, and literature (from set text analysis to A-Level essay writing techniques).

PLUS: Monitored Legentibus account for weekly reading practice and discussion (in Latin!).

I bring Latin to life

Latin is often presented as an analytical challenge, a puzzle that must be solved. But Latin is a language, not a puzzle, and Latin texts are literature, not sudokus.

With my interactive approach, students discover the humans behind the stories and can translate them accurately because they truly understand them. â€‹
