Introductory Latin Course

I believe that studying Latin is an excellent way to learn about the past, improve language awareness and become a well-rounded intellectual.

And I know that children, too, can enjoy delving into the world and language of the Romans!

They will be in good hands, and I will be there to answer your questions all along the way.

Who am I?

Fully qualified teacher of Classics: BA Hons, MA (UB), CAP (ICE)
Former Head of Department and professional tutor
As a polyglot, I know what it takes to learn a language and how to maximise study to see fast and lasting results

How does self-paced learning work?

After a parent or carer purchases the course, they get direct access to videos, quizzes and resources to explore Latin. There is a comment section under every activity, and students can ask their questions or share their ideas with me there.

Students must complete the sections and quizzes to progress through the course. Those who complete the course in full will receive a completion certificate.

What does the Latin course include?

The course looks at who the Romans were:

Their world
Their art
Their culture
Their language (including the first steps in writing in it!)

And how they have shaped us:

The origins of scientific terminology, including etymology
The languages that come from Latin
The myths and references in modern culture

What happens when you join the course?

You get access to the materials and have a whole year to complete the course; although I doubt you will want to wait that long!
You can watch all available videos as many times as you like whenever it suits
You can play the games and complete the activities as many times as you need
You get access to the comment section to ask me questions and get feedback
If all sections are completed successfully and quizzes are passed, your student will receive a certificate of completion.
