A-Level Latin Vocabulary Tester (for OCR A2)

Coming soon: vocabulary building tool for A2 Latin students

There is no defined vocabulary list for A Level Latin, only one for AS. According to Cambridge OCR, the qualification requires students to know and build upon words and regular word compounds.

Whereas many students thrive on the freedom (and challenge) of building by reading and creating their own lists, it can be frustrating not to have  a way to test yourself.

I have worked through my own vocabulary lists, OCRs, and the most common words in Livy and Ovid to create a supplementary tool for A-Level students who would like an app to gauge their progress and help with consolidation.

Stay tuned, because it is going to go live before the end of July!

Disclaimer: This tool is to help you build your vocabulary for the exam, but it is in no way affiliated to the examining board, and only a list of potential vocabulary that might not be glossed. You should aim to learn as much vocabulary as possible by reading regularly and look for updated information by checking the A-Level Latin specification on the OCR website

In the meantime, head to my 10 Ways to Learn Latin Vocabulary to get a first taste of active vocabulary learning.
